I have 11.2.1 and I still get the random restarts.
Its absolutely pathetic that connecting an IPhone via Bluetooth to IDrive would break the IDrive headunit.

Paired my IP 8 to new 2018 M3 and next day iDrive randomly rebooted one time about 3 mins from leaving house. Deleted phone from car BT and turned off BT on IP. Last couple of days no further reboots.

Can these reboots cause permanent damage to the iDrive, etc? Is anyone else still having problems with iOS 11.2 and an IP X or 8?

Thanks

My 2015 M3 and iPhone X no longer have issues ever since updating BT software from BMW.

Issue I had was that I had to switch sources and then back to BT, for my car to start audio streaming.

My iPhone 7 works fine with my 2018 M4 but if my dad plugs in his iPhone 7+ just to charge it while he's riding with me, the iDrive crashes.

Thank you

Latest update of both iPhone and BMW BT updates fixed it for me on my iPhone X. I can now just stream VS having to switch sources. YMMV
