Yas Marina blue M4 in Laval?

Hi, anyone on here with that light candy blue, Yas Marina Met M4? He parked behind me in Carrefour a week ago, and then I bump into the same car/owner this morning!

Very nice colour, I think it's a ZCP with the black trim.

How about a meet on April 7-8 or 14-15?

First meet of the season to kick off the year .

Usual Milano or we can try something new. Open to suggestions.

Question: I ran over something that somehow pierced through (I think oil pan) and causing oil leak and Canbec won't cover under warranty (only have 3500 km 18' M3).

Is it safe to assume that bringing it to another dealer like Laval would be futile too? I was afraid of driving too far which was why I went to Canbec in the first place.

Just wondering since my previous Audi dealerships would always bend over backwards when it came to service even when it wasn't really a warranty issue.

Edit: Had it flatbed to closest dealer. At least that was seamless!

Oh man, that sucks terribly... visually check where the damage is, if indeed you have an oil leak in the DCT transmission oil cooler, stop driving it!

Benzima can send you the contact details of few people at Laval (one of them is a sales director) that has been coming to our meets and generally tend to help. However in your case, that is not considered a warranty claim, but it does not hurt to see what they can do.

Sorry for your bad luck

Yes it sucks for me. It's an MT so no DCT worries here.

PM me. I suggest you contact my Technical Advisor and explain to him the problem.

When you want a new car, I will refer you the Sales Director and the Inventory Director. They will take good care of you.

Update:

It's the oil cooler that got hit and not oil pan. Dealer doesn't want to claim it since the "car is too new". Only has 3500 km.

Love the car but I really miss Audi service. They would cover so many things outside of warranty just to keep me happy.

Unfortunately, this sounds like an insurance claim rather than a warranty claim. The rock hitting the cooler caused it to fail rather than an inherent defect in the cooler.

Although one could argue the defect is in the design, but that's totally another discussion.

Tons of people have had the same issue on the forums and the majority of the time, I don't believe warranty covered it.

The sales director is the one to deal with. In my experience, everyone else has been a pain to deal with or just plain annoying.

Totally normal that this is not covered under warranty since it is a road accident. It should be covered by your insurance.

You likely pierced the front flat mounted engine oil cooler. There are multiple threads of such incidents. When this happens, you should not drive the car at all, as the pressurized oil in the cooler will drain very fast and the engine can end up running with no oil. In the various threads, quite a few owners had to replace their engine due to oil starvation in such incidents. I hope this is not the case for you. Follow up with the dealer and ensure they DO NOT START the engine, you do not want a clueless tech startup the engine with no oil in it. It is also an important reason why BMW will not cover this under "good will", because it could end up being a very costly repair.
