Appears that F82 ZCP rear muffler with exhaust flap (part #18307854736) is different from the F82 CS muffler (part #18308074086).

The tailpipe tip, item number 13, is listed for the ZCP, but no part number for CS. Also, appears based on diagram that tailpipe tip is not welded, but could be welded since item #13 is greyed out?

ZCP muffler is MRSP $1,869.38 and found for $1,202.95, so the CS muffler might be significantly less than the MPE.

Tips and muffler is one part on the CS. You can't swap out the tips.

To me, the video shows that BMW modified the ZCP muffler for the CS by removing the chrome sleeve tips (item 13), the detent pins (the pins that stop and fix the tips in place), and polished the muffler pipes. There are no tips listed in the CS ETK just because there are no sleeve tips (#13) at all and no welding of new tips.

That is to me the reason of a new P/N and not because of an internal difference in the muffler.

This will be very easy to confirm: measure the diameter of the CS pipes vs. the ZCP tips. The CS pipes will be smaller in diameter -and the ZCP tips would be able to be inserted into the CS pipes.

I still can't get behind that rattley sounding exhaust the M4's have, but man that's a good looking car.

I don't think that is the case. The tips on the CS are flared and likely have the same outer diameter than the standard tips but with a much larger inner outlet diameter since they are single walled.

the regular m3/4 exhaust tips are also single wall. They just have the rolled edge to make them look thicker.

From what I see on my stock exhaust, the end result of the assembly is a fully double walled tip, with the inner wall being part of the rear section tip and the outer wall part of the the finishing tip. The rolled-edge of the finishing tip merges with the inner wall of the rear section pipes for a continuous inner wall.

On the other hand, the CS tips are single walled making for a wider outlet than the stock ones. I wonder how much the tip configuration contributes to the sound difference, with the tip contributing to a sort of "megaphone" effect. If I am not mistaken, the GTS has a similar configuration for the exhaust tips.

Not quite. Same wheel design, but not the same colour. The ones sold through M-Performance parts are BLACK, while the ones on the CS are ORBIT GREY.

CS will be a 2018 model, does this mean it will not get the CF driveshaft? Rather the steel one?

Edit: answer is No. Rechecked the original post and CS gets the CF shaft
