Another leaking charge air cooler: 19 M4CS

For those of you who have had this issue and had it addressed I have some questions. The car is a 2019 M4CS with 48k miles.

Yesterday while getting on full throttle I got the “drivetrain malfunction” message along with a P10b0 code. Upon checking the charge air cooler reservoir it was completely dry. Once I took off the air cooler I noted the typical signs of coolant (white residue) in the J-pipe. I have ordered a Mishimoto IC replacement.

My question is what is typically done to clean up any mess from the coolant? My TB looked clean and the j-pipe has been cleaned out. Is there anything else that needs to be addressed before I put on the Mishimoto on?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Edit: Also, I changed the oil a few weeks ago and there was no obvious signs of any coolant mixing in it.

Plugs and oil. Do the oil again just in case of any contamination.

Ordered the oil change kit again and now deciding on NGK vs Bosch plugs. While waiting I’m slowly disassembling and detailing the engine bay.

Upgrading the cooler is a great choice. I had nothing but issues with the factory one in the first 30k miles.

Thanks Mike! I got it in SMB to match the color of the car. Was researching different brands for a while and Mishimoto came out on top.

Got the oil changed and it was clean as can be. The plugs got changed out to OEM Bosch. Now just waiting on my Moshimoto air cooler and she should be good to go.

Finally done. Everything went perfect and the car is running flawlessly again. Couldn’t be happier with the new plugs and Mishimoto. Even my B8.5 S4 got a present too
