the "hooks" on the hood that the latches catch - are they supposed to be bent forward or backward? or are they not supposed to be bent at all? My hood has troubles latching and unlatching (not just the double pull - i know how to do that). See my photos. On mine the threaded portion is out of line, or bent, with respect to the rectangular loop, so as i thread it in the hook osscilates from forward to backwards.
