Awesome! I am very much so looking forward to the numbers being posted.

How much power so you estimate you'll make? North of 700whp?

That's a good chunk of miles with the turbos. Sounds like you are satisfied with your setup.

Is daily drivability the same as before? Any quirks that you think are worth mentioning?

Agreed! I've got painted reflectors and a high kick boot lid, I think I'll be fine for a while.

Time to start saving up for a stage 2 pure turbos

dyno the car today, e50
681whp 710lb

Time to run 100% E85 and work on some tuning. With 100% E85 should be easily over 700whp.

They shouldn't be at that power. I'm curious what dyno was used and correction as well.

Power seems about right. Mid 650's on maxed out fuel system, fuel system is taxed, not the turbos. The top end is going to start falling off a cliff soon though.

What fuel upgrades did he use to go full E85? Either port injection plate system from Fuel it or a new manifold with port injection built in + fuel pump and lines is my guess.

Ethanol is straight up Jesus Juice.

These gears won't start to destroy themselves with 710 lb ft of torque?

That must pull like a freight train on the highway

The gears? Nah. The DCT and 6MT are fully capable handling this amount of torque and more. However, will the clutches hold up?

The 6MT is a dual-plate design and is very stout from the factory, the DCT's clutches are a multi-disk wet-type and also very stout from the factory with a DCT TCU flash that allows them to increase clamping force on tuned S55's equipped with a DCT. A flash that has torque limiters/boost targets properly increase is communicating with the DCT's TCU (with a TCU flash) should keep the clutches from slipping up-to the point where the stock clutches just can't handle anymore torque. Most of the DCT slippage on non-flashed tuned (tuned with a piggyback), non-TCU tuned DCT comes from the fact that the TCU isn't able to increase clamping forces properly and thus the stock clutches start to slip prematurely.

Everything has its limits however and both setups will eventually need upgrades to keep up, especially when making 600+wtq.

I'm holding off upgrading my DCT clutches while upgrading turbos for this very reason. I'm also not opposed to tuning to limit the lower midrange torque hit while taking advantage of the upgraded turbo flow up top.

Since we know the stock turbos can make the clutches slip in the DCT, what are you guys planning for the clutches?
Great work.

We've been using upgraded DCT clutches for a few years now. We recommend SSP Spec-R. Thanks

When ordering this upgraded turbo kits ~

Do I need to upgrade other OEM parts such as intercooler, intake and after market

down pipes and a custom tune? in order to install the upgraded turbo?

Also how long does the upgrading process takes once Pure Turbo receives my

factory turbos.

Inquiry from South Korea ~ Thank you `

Great work.
SSP are the best DCT clutches.
Kris is the owner and he is active on the forums as well.
He even answers the phone and gives great information.
Highly highly recommended

That is not even close to being true. Dodson are the best DCT clutches on the market. SSP is known to use cheap chinese made clutches that may hold power ok, but they do not provide good life and poor drivability.

Im not here to bash SSP, but I have to put the truth out there.
