Thanks!

O lol

I usually play it by ear and it's typically around April. Seems like every winter it's been getting warmer though. These tires wont last long when it's 70* out.

my best 0--60 time (according to the M laptimer) was on winters (4.2 seconds). The grip in a straight line isnt bad at all, even at 30 degrees, but the cornering grip is nonexistent.

Turns/on ramps (in Mexico) I easily took at 113-114 mph I feel out of control at 85 mph.

The softer rubber compound helps tremendously in straight line. I only run a 255 set up so I'm sure if I went with a 275 like most do I'd be a lot happier. Once these wear out I think that's the route I'm taking.

That was my plan, but in January I got an amazing deal on a package (640M wheels and continental winter contact tires). I had them powder coated black and they look amazing.

They will last me at least 4 seasons and will be transferable to my next F80 so I didn't mind the $2k+ investment.

I usually do it around end of March / beginning of April. I might do it earlier this season due to the warmer weather. I don't like doing it too early though (even if the weather permits) since the roads are in terrible shape after the winter season. Usually they repair most of the potholes by April.

what area of new york are you in? I'm in Nassau County, Long Island and they dont fix most of the potholes until the beginning of NEXT winter! I also do a fair amount of driving through Brooklyn, where my office is located. I narrowly avoided a pothole about 2 feet deep and a foot wide today.

I'm very tempted to switch now but I'll stick with winters until at least mid-march - there always seems to be a final surprise storm.

Though this winter has been pathetic.

i won't take my chances and switch the winter wheels out until the low temperatures are consistently 40˚ or higher. judging by the forecast, i'll switch to the summers in two weeks or so.

I do my best to avoid driving in NYC.

I am in Westchester county and they usually do a decent job maintaining the roads around my town.

I NEVER take my car to manhattan for any reason. You can't find a self park garage and I wont let anyone valet the car.
