I'm not sure if anyone already posted this, but I saw that the M4 Convertible is now on BMWUSA.com. I'm looking to buy one next year so I can start configuring one now.

Here is the link to the BYO: http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...modelcode=154m

Haha. It does look so good, but my head just refuses to put a female behind the wheel of one.

Great stuff.

But the Colour Choices are a complete joke. Interior as well.

How about some light interior choices BMW. Individual my ass, it's about choices for your customer. And not porking them in the process.

$85K for a 997.1 Turbo convertible, yes. A 997.2 Turbo S?? Absolutely not at that price, you'd be hard pressed to find one for less than $105K.

But to answer your question, I'd jump into a low mileage, well sorted 997 TT for $85K any day over a new M4 any day. The 911 is just a far superior platform.

Loaded up for a grand total of $96,650.

By the end of this generation, with the incremental price hikes that come over the years, the $100k M4 will be upon us.

Two words, and I know this is extremely harsh, I've been a die hard BMW fan for over 25 years, but: "FUCK THAT"

Mine comes to $88.4k MSRP. To compare, my 2013 E93 M3 Convertible was roughly $82k MSRP. That's a pretty steep jump. It better be an amazing ride!

Why doesn't it list the Carbon Fiber Trim among the interior trim options?

When I leased my well optioned E46 M3 convertible in 2003, the MSRP was $61k!

These 3 (and now 4) series M cars are starting to get pricey.

I know not typical but I was faced with this choice and I would chose Porsche as well. The only issue is 85k...

They are being positioned to take over what the M5/M6 used to be.

The M2 will fill the M3s old spot.

Size wise and price wise (and power I guess).

Yeah, it seems that $99,200 is the maxed-out price at MSRP.

$62,925 is the lowest MSRP for an M3 ($57,965 invoice). That's quite a range.

Strangely enough you're probably not alone - but I think it is a rather odd feeling to have
