M4 CS
I got accepted. Lol and although I initially just had my name down prior to the price being confirmed, I can't help but feel slightly lucky!! Email from BMW to dealer states the slot can't be transferred, can't be registered by the dealer. Basically same email which was given out about the GTS.
The price is wacky, just like the GTS but I can't help but think the residuals will be better than a normal M3/4 after x years. I be lying if I said I didn't feel slightly tempted! What are people's thoughts? Mad or not? |

If it's not a stretch for you and you like it why not.
For me I would genuinely be looking elsewhere for £90k and I'm fairly BMW die hard! 911 GTS money, so unless the 4 seats are essential?

lol I feel lucky!! Couple of thousand worldwide only!
It's a stretch for me that's for sure. Reviews seem great so far, definitely better than the M4 GTS got for sure and the values on those seem to be holding out well. The figures are very very similar to the 911 GTS but something tells me in 5-6 years these will still be worth a fair chunk. German club sport models tend to carry a premium. To be fair I've been a BMW fan through and through since a young age and that's probably where these cars are targeted at. If this was a GT2 RS email I would be ecstatic not that I can afford one. I've got 4 weeks to decide.... |

Save your money, I have always been and still am a BMW diehard but the price is just nuts. CCBs are extra for one, crazy to me that these things are not included.

Can't believe the premium and then BMW expect you to pay for CCB's. The standard brakes are crap at £55k. At this level they are totally unacceptable.

BMW have done a lot in recent years to make the 'M' image something special, but no matter how much carbon and alcantara they slap on these cars, they're still family saloon cars that have been reworked to a sporty design; competing on the road with born and bred sports cars is one thing, but competing in the same market space is wishful thinking.
Value-wise, take an M4/M3 CP, Thatcher it up a bit (brakes/coilovers/tune/exhaust), then add excessive amounts of M-tat and you have yourself something arguably better than CS and a dozen or so big ones left over for another day. Ultimately that is where the CS fails for me- if you're serious about your driving (hence going for the CS over the CP) you'll still need to do all the same modifications. Added bonus of CP -> CS conversion is it comes in saloon form. |

Have to agree with all the guys comments above I'm afraid.
To charge extra for things like CCB's on a car of that value is a joke. They've even removed the dual zone climate control, armrest, interior door pulls are fabric like the GTS but things like these should not be omitted on a car that's between the CP and GTS. I'd save my money, buy a fully equipped CP and mod it. You'll have a much better car in the long-term. Residuals won't be great on this either IMO. I expect to see these in dealer forecourts discounted in the not too distant future.

Agree with everyone else I wouldn't go near one, I just don't think they are special enough for the money. Get a good discount on a good spec CP and it will be £20k cheaper, add some mods and you will still have £12.5k left in the bank. Plus all the proper door cards p, climate, hi-fi etc.
I spec'd a CS with CCB and a few other bits and it was basically £100k!! Utter madness..

If the CS holds value better then it will be like the e46 CS has much, much later down the line not over the first 6 years.

You could get a pre reg, no miles Comp Pack for £35k, yes £35k cheaper. I'm actually very surprised at BMW asking £90k for this car, do they think we are push overs ?. They won't hold their value imho. Have a look on the other forum, at Lees car.
£50 k for his car, with ceramics, and M everything, and £40k in your pocket ? Last edited by Simon H; 06-17-2017 at 03:44 PM.. |

I'm on cutters also. Have seen Lee's car. It's not necessary the point of making it faster that appeals ie modding. I like oem special models with warranty. It's not really about the spare change. I know what is capable regarding modding our f80/2/3's. But it's not quite the same thing.
As I said before, these cars are definitely targeted at a certain audience. The majority will definitely not get it but some very few will. And just like the GTS, it's not always going to make sense (2 x CP M3 value wise) but someone will buy it. I'm not saying I get it by the way! Just getting opinions! |

I have to say I would love a lime rock grey M4CS with CCB it looks superb! BUT I'd want to drive one back to back with a 991.2 GTS before I made the choice.
I don't want to dampen the OP's excitement either. Very lucky to be able to afford one rather than been accepted to get one is the way I'd look at it.

Indeed, I want meaning to attempt to piss on your enjoyment of the car. I love the look of the CS and was considering one myself until I saw the price point and omissions in the spec sheet.
All in all it's a lovely car so I hope you enjoy it OP and I look forward to seeing the pics.

Are people going to pay full list for these? These phone calls saying "you've been accepted" Sounds like they will try and make you.
Given that you can get a DCT CP M4 for around 56k paying 90k list for the CS starts to look a tad crazy and you'd have to spec the CCB as the standard brakes aren't really special enough at 90k so 95k.
