I've had my car a week now. It gets a lot more attention that I thought it would going down the road.

The other night coming home from dinner I had some guy doing his best to race me in his Range Rover. Needless to say....he won.

Good attention by a few ladies while it was parked in the town square though too.

i-287 is notorious for phantom slowdowns. wanna see an accident? sure i get it. but to slow down traffic for miles because someone is changing there tire is ludacris.

now believe me you can drive as agressive as you want and tail my ass, but there is space you will be left in the dust and I will always catch up no matter how much weaving or cutoffing one has done. It can literally save maybe a minute of commute time, but add an hours worth of stress to the brain. Every single day people tailgate the shit out of me in there broke ass cars and pass me only to slam on the brakes. I know this is never going to change but I just cant believe why everyone thinks a car length is going to save time, let alone they are making the traffic worse. if everyone left a gap and stayed in the lane there would be no traffic.

Same thing on the backroad of my commute people riding my ass from a stop. Like is everyone flooring it at 7AM, THE FUCK. the 1st to second(espec in cold weather) is difficult shift and people are CM away from rear-ending me. I would have to launch my M fukin 3 to appease these people. and for what I ask, once i get into third i will be doing 5 over speed limit so why the fuck you tailing me for. This boils my blood and if someone rear ends me I will freak because MW paint and its because they were driving too aggressively. I never tail anyone, if they are driving to slow. I will literally slow down so much and create such a gap that I can comfortably drive again.

I am slowly starting to get over this and just zoning out and letting it be. But I cant stand the look on peoples face in the morning when they are riding my ass or pass me. Like you really want me to drive my car cause the outcome will be 180. But alas I don't have enough brain functioning to care anymore at 7am just zone out. also I am slowly shifting to a 7-3 schedule. On other roads I will continue driving at whatever pace I am at regardless of the tailing. sometimes if I am over the speed limit I will slow down to limit. People have lose their mind trying to bully an M3 on the road. But honestly I dont care if your driving an F1 car, if someone is going the speed limit, respect the road. and in traffic just stay in lane and leave a gap.

In conclusion most people with a car that is capable actually drive with respect in traffic because I think they understand what true speed really is and its is trivial to weave and cut people off because they aren't getting anywhere faster. I am sure cutting someone off in a minivan feels like a moving a mountain.

TL;DR. Dont drive like a dick. The roads are congested, you aren't getting anywhere faster unless open highway. So just sit back relax, and zombie to work.

Here in CA prius drivers think their car is a Nascar stock car and they are Ricky Bobby. It's incredibly common to see a completely tinted out Prius fly by you at 95 in the right lane and weave traffic.

I have never seen a Prius anywhere close to 80mph. They are all turtles/roadblocks.

Seriously though, what kind of person buys a Prius, pimps it out, and then drives it like it's an F1 car? Isn't BS virtue signalling the whole point of a Prius? Maybe gas mileage? It sure as hell isn't for looks, performance, or handling.

In the Ft. Lauderdale area it's all Kia Optimas, all day long. Many of them with a bumper corner loose and flapping in the wind.

Why do so many Optimas and Camrys have a bumper corner loose anyway? The most obvious explanation is that shit drivers are likely to damage their bumpers eventually, but I've also noticed that previous gen Camry rear bumpers (undamaged) flex alarmingly at highway speeds. It's like that bullshit "aero" they'd put on there makes the thing act like a parachute...

I wonder the same man. I've seen a few that have blacked out badges and wheels. People definitely try to pimp them out.

Some are fully tinted out with limo and even windshield tint (don't blame them actually -- I wouldn't want to be seen in that debacle of a car).

My commute is OC to North County SD. So I've only seen them on I-5, but they tend to drive pretty aggressively. Agreed, about 50% are turtles but the rest are lunatics. I've even had one pass me on the shoulder of I-5...

My mom has a Prius. And those things does 50 mpg. But they have no power what so ever. Takes forever to accelerate when I drive her car. Still a nice car though.
