Its very possible that MT is only offered in the US (sorry world). Ive learned that manual f8x cars are really not popular here in Germany. Many people have never seen it, or thought it wasnt an option at all.

March was a good time to buy.

Now, dealers are barely budging. I walked into a local BMW dealership and they said the best they can do is sell it to me at MSRP minus the $3000 BMWFS incentive.

Agagagagagh

Cars don’t take “hits” and when a new model appears. Their depreciation rate changes all the time and normally will accelerate or decelerate at different levels throughout the model year. But there is rarely if ever this “hit” people talk about.

Sorry if I sound cranky. Had to get up early to drive son to VB

Just took delivery of a '18 M3 CP MT. A part of me wants the next M3 to be AWD only and automatic only so my F80 is extra special, especially to me.

The other part of me wants the new M3 to be RWD and MT forever so I can keep buying new ones every 3 years. Lol.

Looking forward to seeing how it all shakes out. Either way it'll be pretty cool.

F83 EOP is October 2020, nothing will be released until all models in current F8x platform is EOP. First model will be the G80, then G82/G83 most likely all as a MY 2021. Remember that MY 2020 has the X3M, X4M, X5M, X6M and 8 series M.

I just checked the cars.com app and it seems there are a few marked down around the country, you may have to travel a ways for what you are looking for though. I went from SoFla to Biloxi, MS for mine.

Another issue with cars.com, not all dealer's inventory shows up there.
So check dealer's website as well.

Yup that is about what I am getting off on our individual order. Is that the one in Annapolis?

Oh so my SA told me today that this will be the last month for the 2k fleet discount. Next month they are going to a flat $500 for all fleet discounts. He right?

Geez at this rate, prices might go up since there won't be anything for at least 18 months.

I wish I can get 4k discount around here. Dealerships are up tight only giving 2k max.

I'd try SouthEast, MidWest at this point. But $1K fee to truck the car back to California may or may-not make sense.
Or go for the individual color cars, hey think of it as $5K discount already.

Found a M3 Competition Pack in stock here in North Florida. Am hoping to pick it up tomorrow morning.

They agreed to $500 over invoice plus $4,250 of incentives (APR Credit, Loyalty, USAA).

I have not kept up with the recent pricing as I was not really looking to buy. I know for an M3 in normal circumstances that would be a really good deal, but now that the M3 is out of production until mid 2020, I am seeing some people post they have gotten at or below invoice.

Considering the dwideling stock of M3's and the ceasing of production, should I be ecstatic or should I be trying for better?

Thanks!

This is good, do it. You are 3750 below invoice. This is a great deal.

Yes I agree, I think it’s a good number. I would be happy with anything at invoice or lower especially if you love the way the car is specked. Loyalty here is a big factor, it worked in my favor for a great deal as I picked up my CP last week for a great price too! Enjoy the pickup, it’s always a nice drive home in your new M3!

"Should I try for better?"

Really? As my dealer says "Those are the type of people we LOVE to tell "sorry, I sold the car last night""

Dude - that is an amazing price. Many dealers I've talked to are starting to lower their discounts - in fact, I've heard a few say they are going for sticker now that the car is out of production.

MOVE ON THIS CAR NOW.

rant over...

They were going to close to sticker I believe - some of that I think was due to it being the last of the V8

Thanks all for the reassurance!

I did make the deal this morning and drove it home today. I think it's one of only a few Smoked Topaz Metallic M3's out there. I'm still a little uneasy about the color but it's growing on me. It also has Cohiba Brown Extended Merino interior so it is quite unique.

Unique and also elegant I’d say. Mine had the Amaro brown which I really liked with Azurite black. Like SO, YMB & AY, we are unique but a bit more subtle. Get through the 1200 service and really enjoy!
