If Christmas bonus is a good one, I will probably buy these seats!

If you can afford the seats, you can afford to get them coded correctly.

As someone who enjoys working on his own vehicles, I was simply asking if this was something I could do with the resources I have available. If push comes to shove, I suspect I may be able to collect enough cans to redeem, so I can make the coding happen!

Appears the can idea didn’t work as you are selling seats in classifieds a week after the post asking if you could use bimmercode.

Just a change in direction. Haven’t even had time to install them. Was tongue in cheek.

I didn't weigh the stock seats, but I can tell you the weight savings is substantial.

Easily can be done remote, I'd highly recommend Alex to code them out for you.

For those that have installed these seats on factory side mounts and sliders, what are you using to mount sub straps?

The M4 GTS has a welded floor mount that the other M cars do not have. For my M2, the fabricator welded a sub strap mount to the seat (in chromoly steel). See photo

Thanks for providing those pictures. Looks like you got longer mounting bolts to account for the width of the sub mount to one of the original mount points and drilled an additional hole?

I have the GTS seats in my M4. Not that comfortable when you are wide at your back. I had to put in a lot of lumbar support and also add some padding under my a.. to not sit too crooked. But it's ok now. Stock comp seats are not that good for me either. Comp seats weigh 22 kilos, GTS seats weigh 6 kilos. Then comes a few pounds of undercarriage to the GTS seats. I also have one electric motor so i can adjust back and forth easy.

Finally got to test these seats out in my F80 w/ QFP at a DE recently and they kept me very secured. Looking to upgrade to 6 pts now to pass tech for NASA.
