Steering Wheel Buttons Not Lighting Up

Hey there,

I noticed that at night the buttons in the steering wheel do not illuminate (but still function fine). Do you all have an idea what this could be / potential resolution.

Thank you!!!

Could you possibly have the Illumination turn way down, I only ask this because it could be the reason. But that would also mean that your instrument cluster would also be dim.
But you can replaced the both the modules for the left hand and right hand sides of the steering wheel. Or could you LED lights are just burned out. I would also check that your interior light option in the iDrive and ensure that it is turned up to it's maximum brightness setting.

My guess would be a failed clock spring. FYI,
Got a spare one here for non adaptive headlights.

A broken clock spring would definitely do it. But all the other buttons wouldn't function either. Are your buttons working, or is it just the lighting that doesn't work?
