I'm new to the M word...are the cars as negotiable as others once the initial hoopla wears out? ...if so I'll most likely wait till jan 2015 or so.

Depends on demand. Some M cars (E39 M5, 1 M) demanded a premium or at least list price, others (F10 M5) are negotiable. I think demand for the M3/M4 will be high initially...

As to the pricing in general, I'm pleased regarding the standard equipment. To me, the pricing somewhat (but note quite!) resembles the E39 M5 - almost all the essential options are standard. This is the first modern BMW in which I can easily skip the "Executive Package"!

3. DCT at $2,900 is steep - pure profit here for BMW, should be about $1,300.
What does Porsche charge for their DCT option? I think it's around the same. This isn't a Mercedes AMG automatic they are giving us. But I think $2k to $2.5k would be easier to swallow.

Glad the full leather is a standalone option, but bummed the price went up from the military guide. Oh well, can't resist not getting it.

On the bmw.co.uk configurator, there are a lot of stand alone options (i.e. comfort access) that are bundled in the USA.

Ok so I'm a bit confused. On the standard equip it says "hands free Bluetooth AND USB connection" what is the difference between that and the now 500 dollar "enhanced Bluetooth" ??? If the standard let's me stream music wirelessly what does the " enhancement " do??

Between 3200-4500 depending on model it seems. Higher end 991 models (turbo, turbo s, gt3) have it standard with no manual option.

Here's mine:

M3 AW - Sakhir Orange Ext. Leather
$62,000
$4,300 ZEC (which I hate considering most of those options I don't care for, like most people here)
$2,900 DCT
$925 Destination

Total $70,125 - 10,000, roughly (invoice+Ed=14% off) = $60,125 before tax.

Hopefully by summer of 2015, there won't be crazy demand so we can get favorable pricing.

Kills me that retractable headlight washers are part of the executive package. So now were forced to have those hideous washers on the front bumper if we want anything in the executive package? Like comfort access or HUD, or heated rear seats.

That's trash. I really hope BMW offers a headlight washer delete option.

100% agree! Give us a headlight washer delete option!

Also maybe I am remembering wrong but in the past wasn't the headlight washer tied to the windshield washer button? Is that the case here? It would suck if it went off every time I needed to clean my windshield.

Does anyone know BMW will offer loyalty incentive on these new M3/M4? Also im qualify for their $1000 graduate incentive as im graduating soon.

So im aiming approx ED price - $1750( graduate and loyalty)

Does this sound possible?

Hoping for near ED invoice within a year from now for the f80 (wishful thinking).
