Issues with M3/M4 thus far?

I'm curious as to what issues are reported thus far with either models? I just ordered mine today. Even though I always tried not to have first year model, I just couldn't resist.

I read a thread with DCT issue (luckily I'm getting a 6spd this time)
Also a thread with a broken differential.

Any other issues? How are turbos holding up so far?

So far so good with my M3. I have the carbon brakes and they are making some noise aside from the typical squeaking. Its when I take off from a stop and do not have my foot on the brake. Interior is really noisy. (Low speeds) Some agree, some don't notice. Turbos seem to spool fine. Overall a very cool car. I traded in my 2013 e92. Apples and oranges.

I read today something written by you, and I was going to comment, but hell broke loose here. I'm sure my comment is missed as usual.

As far as this forum tells us, seat light is noisy, DCT is shit, differentials is fucked, colors are wrong, you can't electronically move the steering wheel, wheels suck, suspensions are wrong, steering is numb/ over the top, awful, and of course Porsche does everything better, till the AMG guys wake up.

Best comment about reliability is that the poster is going to wait a year or two, till BMW gets better at building these. We all seem to forget, that each of us come here and write everything, always. Priuses must have their own forum somewhere (my hell) but we kind of get twisted with these. No way we represent the demographic drivers all around the world very well.

Just cancel if the wife is pregnant, that adds up to be a total failure.

Yes, I did not have coffee today. Well I tried, but it didn't work.

Edit: yeah, all the colors are wrong.

Migraine, fourth day in a row.

Still I think we take the forum, the people who are addicted to writing as well as reading as the demographic.

Guys, it's a car. It will break down. you will get shit. And most of all, let's make really good stories out of the things.

We all are in love with these, so any set back of any kind gets blown away. Let's live a little, if mine breaks down on my road trip, you will be reading abt a nice girl driving a Prius loaner.

Just to make sure this is not seen as an angry post:

It was the migraine again who insisted on three rows of those, not me, the mellow bitch from hell ( I was told that I'm one today again!)

Mine is great too. Just hit 1200. Getting service done today as long as they have the pan screws. It sucks for the people experiencing these issues, but they are few and far between. I've never been shy about being an early adopter. Buy the car and enjoy it. If something breaks fix it. Simple as that.

Wow, some people don't drive much ;-)

I've had mine for a week and I'm at 1,300 miles. Going for first service on Friday. No problems so far other than a rock stuck in the rear brake somewhere. It made an awful noise intermittently for a few hundred miles but is gone now. That is what I get for driving over roads in the process of being chip sealed.

Cheers

Hey I'm going on a road trip with mine as soon as it gets here. I will go completely ape shit if that happens to me, and I end up even for a short time in a rental. I do understand your pain.

I didn't want to give out the impression that telling about these is whining, I was merely pointing out, that we are enthusiasts getting our hands in to a bunch of cars at the same time. Shit going wrong is more easy to spot now, than let's say in a year when we all just have given up on listing them.

That all being said, if you need help with the service department, I'm more than happy to help. Just let me.

So far my SA has been good , not much they can do since they are not allowed to open the Rear Diff and they have checked and double checked everything and the only thing is pointing towards the Rear Diff due to the metal particles in the fluid but I am sure you getting inovled will get the dealer a good laugh

"So you won't do anything? Fine, let me connect you to my golden retriever, she has been fishing for a fight for a while and is more than happy go into the Eminem+ mode with the semi british accent of hers. Enjoy"

I'm afraid to go to the grocery store already. This headache is turning me into a complete hell raiser.

Buahaha!

I hope everything goes well with the repairs in yours. You at least have the attitude to take it all well, so many of us are such babies with cars it's unreal.

Yes, I know how to count, it's a lot of money when the damn thing is broken, but many of us haven't had enough set backs in our lives if a car is this serious.

1300 miles in a week. I like your style. I was contemplating trying to do the same thing.
