Hello to the 'M' community,

It's been a while since I've been on here. I must admit, the community here is much stronger than the AMG community. I do miss my previous M4, however I thought I would share my current ride for fellow car enthusiasts while I still have it.

... might end up back in the 'M' community, just waiting on the numbers to be right with the dealer...

It's a 2017 AMG C63s Coupe Edition 1 - optioned with exterior carbon pack and Cup2 tyres on the original set of wheels (new set of wheels are also staggered like the originals (19s (F) and 20s (R), but this time I have 20s (F) and 21s (R) to fill the guards which were imported from the States - almost as light as my previous BBS FI-R on my M4).

What’s your view in the two cars after having owned both the M4 and C63 coupe?

I was toying between the M3 and C63 Sedan before I bought the M. I ultimately went with the M3 because I track my cars and it was lighter. The C63 sounds great though.

I also opted against the Merc because of the crap service I got when I owned my CLA 45 AMG. The build quality was also crap on the Merc. I had so many rattles and creeks.

PS: Yeah the AMG community doesn’t hold a candle to this one.

First order of business for me would be to strip those yellow decals. Not for me. But that's subjective.

It's not for everyone. My mate stripped his decals off. It was nice at first, but he regrets it because his car now looks like a regular C Class (C200) or a regular C63s coupe. Mine has grown on me. AMG did the decals in recognition of their GT3 race cars.

They are both very different cars. Here's my take on the M4 convertible and C63s Coupe:

Sound: AMG wins

Interior: AMG wins (leather in the Edition 1 has quilted leather - very nice!)

iDrive / Command System: BMW sh*ts all over Merc.

Build Quality: on par with each other (AMG may have a slight edge on this occasion, I had quite a few quality issues on the M4 vert).

Overall Drive: because the M4 vert was a heavy pig, it's a certain win for the AMG. I have driven my mates M4 and that much more balanced than the AMG.

My only reason for potentially moving this on is because I need 4 doors. It's a little awkward taking colleagues and clients in a 2 door car. It was fun with the M4 vert and with the C63 coupe, but it's time to be a little more practical. It's not a killer as yet which is why I will enjoy it for a little while whilst I secure the best deal on a 4 door.

They unfortunately discontinued C63s sedans with the Edition 1 pack. Otherwise I would have gone for this... it's the interior diamond quilted leather that gets me.

The rear styling of the C63 sedan doesn't do it for me. I hate those cut out rear lights. And unfortunately it's carried over to the E63. The M3 rear is much more attractive.

The C63 coupe on the other hand has the most gorgeous rear end perspective - a Kim kardashian butt If you I will. Lol

The Alfa gulia quadrifuglio blew me away when I test drove it. But to much of an unknown quantity.

m3 cs if your replacing a edition one.. neighbor has identical ed 1 i can always hear the downshifts as he comes down the road lol so pleasant.

I saw this a while ago i never even knew amg made this theme for the c63s.. not that i would go for this green theme though but still interesting.

I was under the impression that the stripes signified that it was an Edition 1. Either way it is a sexy beast! liking the livery!

Yeah, my dealer offered this to me but I’m not a fan of the green. Their ‘designo’ Team stuffed that one up... 25 made. Was originally listed at 200k plus on roads - dreaming.

Agree with you there. The M3 has a great rear end... the flared guards at the back make it much more aggressive than the M4.

Funny how it's the opposite on the C63. Sedan looks boring and a bit awkward where as the coupe looks fantastic

Interior: Quilted is WAY overdone - are you in the Russian Mafia? Full leather CP is nice. MB seat switches on doors...WTF

I would have loved to have got the C63S ed 1 - your colour is spot on inc the stripes. Unfortunately, I don't need either (any) car at this time due to work situation! Enjoy it while you have it.
