Another leaking charge air cooler: 19 M4CS
For those of you who have had this issue and had it addressed I have some questions. The car is a 2019 M4CS with 48k miles.
Yesterday while getting on full throttle I got the “drivetrain malfunction” message along with a P10b0 code. Upon checking the charge air cooler reservoir it was completely dry. Once I took off the air cooler I noted the typical signs of coolant (white residue) in the J-pipe. I have ordered a Mishimoto IC replacement. My question is what is typically done to clean up any mess from the coolant? My TB looked clean and the j-pipe has been cleaned out. Is there anything else that needs to be addressed before I put on the Mishimoto on? Any advice will be appreciated. Edit: Also, I changed the oil a few weeks ago and there was no obvious signs of any coolant mixing in it. Last edited by HPD15M3; 04-14-2024 at 04:40 PM.. |

Ordered the oil change kit again and now deciding on NGK vs Bosch plugs. While waiting I’m slowly disassembling and detailing the engine bay.

Upgrading the cooler is a great choice. I had nothing but issues with the factory one in the first 30k miles.
