It could be just a flu
Some of the guys on his show are really cringy and dont know what they are talking about. Ita really funny though when he pushes their "race-spec" tuned cars on the twisties and their faces just show that they have never ever pushed their car so much and are scared s***less, holding onto whatever they can. Personally i dont see a point in tuning your car to go ever faster when you have not mastered it stock but hey thats just me. |

The rep certainly seems a little wet behind the ears and not very knowledgeable. ("Carbon ceramic brakes are like a $12K option.")
However, interesting video and commentary, especiallly the parts about what he liked/disliked about various throttle, etc. settings. |

the car is a beast, I wasn't aware of the upgraded turbos. Very cool
I enjoyed the last two episodes from Matt, first a forum member and now a forum sponsor. very cool and good for our bimmerpost community

He definitely seems to enjoy the ESS tune vs the VF. I didn't know ESS as offering the GTS burbles now too.
The 12k for CCB was the best part. Only $4000 off |

Hello All,
I just wanted to let you guys know that this was a last minute thing where I was asked to go, I did not know what to expect so getting there and seeing 5 cameras pointing at is a bit intimidating. The title is just as it states - "One Take", you get one shot at this - there are no scripts, no rehearsals. Looking back, I could have done much better. At the time the video was recorded, I had only been with EAS for a few weeks and I was not 100% familiar with every specific detail of the car, with that I do apologize as I should have known more about it. I did know about the car and what modifications has been done, but again, 5 cameras on you is very intimidating on top of someone pushing the car as far as his abilities and conditions limit him. Being a passenger is very different than driving the car. As a passenger, you have absolutely no control and that was nerve-racking. Lastly, to the other vendors that sponsor the forums: I would appreciate if there was more respect shown, I know I would have if it was the other way around. I've had the pleasure of working with a number of individuals both on and off the forum. Those that have worked with me in person and assure I am someone who is very knowledgeable in the field and great to work with. Next time I will definitely be more prepared for the camera, as we have another large build coming soon. Thanks for giving me the time to respond. If you have any questions on our 600whp beast M4 project, I will be more than happy to reply. Last edited by chris @ eas; 01-18-2017 at 12:54 PM.. |

For all of you bashing the shops rep, I would like to see how you do when put in the same situation. It's pretty easy to sit there, nitpick and comment from the comfort of your home and surroundings.
With that out if the way, I enjoyed the video

I would agree that it would be intimidating both to be in front of the camera(s) and to not be in control of such a powerful car on those mountain roads!
Thanks, Mo, for coming out and posting here. Please understand that much of this is just in good forum fun. Not meant to step on anyone's toes. Again, great video and interview. Interesting commentary on the vehicle and mods. And an amazing car from what it looks like! |

Yeah, I guess I didn't mean to be such an asshole. It's not your fault they sent you out being so new. I think this was a great learning experience for you, though.

I respect Matt Farah's hustle but his One Take reviews aren't necessarily the best & a lot of times full of factual error

I think I take these videos differently. I like the one takes but I use it more as a way to see what Matt's impression is of the driving dynamics of the car. Since he does so many of these, I feel like I can get a sense of his likes and dislikes (ie biases) and I can use that to figure out if I would like the car or not. One thing I definitely do not do is take anything spec relates said by the owner in the video or by Matt and treat it as truth as both of them seem to often misremember those details. It's clearly not the main point of these videos. |

I wouldn't even worry about it Mo, you did fine! I'm sure as soon as a camera is pointed at anyone they'd start blinking profusely and stammer and likely be sweating bullets.
Not everyone is meant to be infront of the camera whether you look good or bad, you held it together and did perfectly fine.
