BMW AG has to test ALL the models(they make) for different countries(specs). I often see US spec cars/Werktestwagens being driven in Germany. You can always tell by the latest series of Munich plates they are using.

OP mentioned that he used camera zoom function to take these shots. Maybe this caused front to look little bit weird.

Actually it was at the BMW Niederlassung Frankfurter Ring, where most of the Individual pictures come from, for example the Purple Silk 6GC.

Didn't saw that shop until you guys mentioned, I only had eyes for the car!

A black kidney grill and smoked silver/gun metal wheels would change a lot of minds here. This car looks confused. I also agree that the wheels look cheap and plasti-dip-like.
