Do F30 Steering Wheel Electronics swap over to F80?

I didn’t know whether I should post here or in the F30 forum, I’m looking to put an F8X v2 steering wheel into my 340i, problem is, I really don’t want to pay for the wheel with electronics if I can avoid it. Can I swap over my buttons and stuff so I can buy the bare v2 wheel and trim?

If you currently have a sports steering wheel any F8X steering wheel will fit. Just swap all the buttons/trim and paddles if it is an auto. You are good to go.

Yes, all your existing M-sport steering wheel buttons/back trim/front trim will swap over to the M-Perf V2 steering wheel just fine. I put the M-Perf V2 steering wheel into my F31 daily driver a good number of years ago and have been happy since.

Ok cool, so if I take my existing buttons, throw in the m1/m2 button kit, and then buy the front trim for the f80 wheel, I’m all good!
