So far the sound is a hit. I think we can finally put this to rest. Now we just need to quell a few more points of contention, and we can finally have some peaceful, vitriol free discussions here.

LOL! C'mon man. Based on a 6 sec clip of the car maybe revving to 3K RPM when every other exhaust video till now shows the car sounds like a vacuum? Some of you guys will say anything to justify your decisions.

I don't understand how these videos come about. Did a forum member just happen to be sat in his car with his phone video running when a not yet released car just happened to come around the corner??

Seems a bit fishy doesn't it?

I can infer and draw positive conclusions just like others can infer and draw negative conclusions. Almost all of the videos of the ///M in motion sound great. Videos with the motor revved in garages, rooms with odd acoustics, etc. are the source of the negative comments.

FWIW, I don't need to justify anything. My money is my money. If I like it, I'll buy it.

Very "meaty" sound from the car. I'm actually impressed.

This is true but it's the track videos that had me concerned not the garage type of recordings. It really doesn't sound very nice compared to track videos of cars with a knowingly good induction noise. Too early but this video at least show that the car has some nice sound qualities. It brings hope where there was very little.

No offense, but whatever is going on between you and sedan clan is off topic

Let's try to keep the comments relevant to the video and the f8x

Not trying to be the forum police, but almost every thread in this forum has turned into an off topic flame fest, and this is one of the most important threads on here as it has real sound and video of a production m4 in motion .

Thanks.

Correct, I'm one of those when it comes to the sound. I expect it to sound ricey which is far from my favorite car sound. It's not a deal breaker but I'm now more hopeful that I'll be positively surprised.

I think your final point is the purpose of this thread in the first place.

Doesn't look fishy at all to me. Looks like Julian and the M4 were both stopped at the intersection and the guy got his phone out just in time to catch the M4 on its way out. Car looks great!

Absolutely and to show how great the M4 looks in AW with silver wheels. This post is a one-sided compliment and commercial for the car, no doubt and it makes me happy since they've been unusual.

This site is closely connected with BMW. A lot of the info posted here is done thanks to that connection. This isn't some random "fan" site. All those "spy" shots are not really spy shots. They all know where and when the car is going to be.

Not to break up your conspiracy theory, but a lot of the spy shots are from spy photogs who peddle them to whoever.

That clip is far too short to judge the sound, but the car looks fantastic.

I think people are very excited and anxious to be able to get their car and there's nothing wrong with that. Hell...I am one of those people. But making statements like "it sounds like a ferrari", or "it sounds insane" when the M4 driven in this very short 6 second clip barely gets up to 3K RPM is just plain retardedness.
