BPMSport Flash Tune anyone?

The BPMSport tunes were pretty popular on the e90 generation....Anyone running the BPMSport Flash Tune on the f80 if so can you provide some feedback, success with trackdays?

I don't think they have one yet for the S55. I had the BPMSport tune on my E92 and liked it a lot. As opposed to the S65, the ECU of the S55 needs to be cracked in order to flash tune it, which makes it quite more complex.

+1 I was very satisfied with my BPMsport tune on the e92. I think I'm going to hold off on a tune until OBD flashing is an option.

According to their website its available, yep I fully understand what needs to be done for a flash tune, it can be OBD flashed once the ecu has been opened. From what I understand a true OBD flash is a long way off and may never happen

At this point I think all "flash" tunes need to be sent in and flashed on the bench because they first need to read the security key via contact pads on the actual board

see here for an idea

http://www.bmw-explorer.ru/help_ecu_..._E%20Seria.htm

once the key is known, you can flash away via the odb port...

Great News! I just spoke with Mike at BPM sport and he said they are 1-2 weeks away from complete OBD flash tune for F8x, He stated there will be NO need to remove the ecu.

If that's^^^ honestly true it would be an industry *game changer*... I'll believe it when I see it but fingers crossed!🙏

Yep, I mentioned it last week, but no one was listening. Freiling did it. Mike uses their tools.

Quoted just for LOLs in "1-2 weeks."

You will hear crickets. I promise.

Yeah , the time frame seems optimistic. I would have thought it would be a month or two. But I was told from a pretty reliable source that Frieling had achieved the impossible last week.

So it shouldn't be too far away now. I for one can wait until Xmas to get it done without removing the ECU.

This is truly exciting news! Not surprised mike is going to be releasing the industry first Ecu flash. Really excited to see what it does and how it compares to jb4! I was ready to purchase the jb4 but now I'm holding off until I see this.

^^^X 2. This is some pretty major stuff being discussed here! Real "game changers!" With bench flashes being available it opens the world of directly custom dyno tuning our S55's motor with *full control of the ECU!* ...Anywhere / anytime* I still think the JB4 is a great product based of the data logging, its support and all its "other" features (ie EVC, boost limit per gear, etc) But this will be the gold-standard for tuning these automobiles from here on out if this really comes to fruition! We expected this technology to eventually come to the new F8X platforms, I just didn't expect it THIS quickly!! Tuners know the financial potentials with this new line of TT M cars out and they're striving to be the first to carve their name out in this lucrative market I guess..

Looks like Turner is also working on a full Ecu flash for the f8x cars too. Said it'll be a couple of weeks before its out. Next couple of weeks should be interesting!!

He did reply, but it seems Mods deleted the posts (probably due to the pending Sponsor account).

Looking forward for those posts to show up again once "sponsorship" is established

+1 very exciting times. If this happens I'm keeping my JB4 stacked over this tune so I can benefit from the JB4 features and then use the awesomeness of what Mike can do with his f8x tune, or maybe just get rid of the JB4 all together. Before I got into bmws all my other cars had hand held device flash tunes and it was such a breeze to use and uninstall for dealer visits.
