Active Sound satire at gag site Autoblopnik

...sadly, it's partly true, and that's why it's funny.

It's a bit disapointing that this is the best that BMW could come up with to give some enjoyment for people inside the car. I first thought it was because of the extraordinary insulation of the M5 that BMW had to put sound thru the speakers but now that they've done it in the M3, I'm wondering where this is gonna stop! Will the M2 also have that feature, will they're be options for different recorded sounds!!?

Let's see how Audi and Merc will deal with there new F/I engines in the next RS4/RS5 and C63 AMG, I'd be surprised/disapointed if they copied BMW!

Just think, if you had it, you might be able to hear when your engine bearings were about to go. Wait! What was that sound?

Now, there's a thought. Kind of like ringtones. Hopefully you can change them yourself.

Cheers.

If there was, I'd surly like my F8x to sound like an S85, not only the best sounding BMW engine ever but also one of the nicest from all automakers included!

This was in consideration for the tune and sound.

Yes, except not even F1 sounds like F1 since the switch to FI motors, to wit: the threat of lawsuits from first race of the season when race organizers wanted to sue because the cars sounded so anemic and ruined the spectator experience.

That's a pretty good deal, but since I don't track I'm hoping I can just buy the single super-farty for $1000 ...

Not sure if I understand correctly, you think I'm biased because my engine is 80% of the S85!? Cause IMO, the S65 sound 100% different from the S85!

The S85 is NOT IMO the best sounding BMW. The S62 is.

How can I be biased, I don't own a S85 and never had, never even driven one, just seen videos of it on youtube! Anyway, to each his opinion, but to me that V10 sounded as good as any Italian exotics!

Yeah, I laughed. I haven't cooked a meal in three weeks because of that idiot I married keeps on picking on my (future) car and it's sound. I'll be down for murder if he sees that one.

It's not only for the men to take cars way, way too seriously.
