I realized this car feels a lot wider than my E92. Especially when trying to navigate the streets of Monte Carlo.

Exactly...got there the Monday while they were setting up...went through Casino Sqaure, etc. Unfortunately wasn't able to stay long enough to see the actual GP, but pretty awesome to actually be able to drive it, let alone in the new M4...just a few more agonizing weeks til it's back with me.

We just missed you.

We were in Monaco April 22 & 23. Then down to Cannes for a day and night.

Still waiting for car?

When and where did you drop it off?

Ahhh...ya, not too far away as far as dates were concerned!

Yup, still waiting...it's due in CA on July 1st then of course after customs/VPC, needs to get trucked to Utah, so hoping no more than 3 weeks (July 4th delays things a bit).

Usually I only will need the nav when I get close to a new destination (i.e., I know how to get to the freeway from my house, thanks), so I can put in the address before I start driving, then stop nav and all the talking with one button press, then resume to the same destination with one button press when I actually need the help.
On my 335is I could mute the navigation "prompts", the voice over. Is that not possible on the M3?

I learned that I dropped her off in Nice this morning and I miss her already. Can't believe I'm going to have to wait 10 weeks.

Yes, use the option button on the iDrive controller while in Navigation to mute the navigation prompts. I don't remember it working any differently than my wife's 335is Coupe.

While driving off from a cold start in an underground parking lot, I learned that the stock exhaust is plenty loud and decided to shelve my plan of installing an Eisenmann/ Akrapovič slip-on.

Proviso: open valves

On the nav screen push the idrive controller left to get to the nav sub menu (that runs vertically along the screen), one of the top 2 options is to mute the nav voice.

I'll be dropping mine off in Nice in two weeks: any advice/pointers on the process there? I've dropped off in Frankfurt on my two previous EDs, so just curious about the location, any problems, etc. You can PM me if you don't want to hijack the thread.
