I was wondering the same thing. He was talking about crashing so I thought he was going to turn to the car to show that they had done some damage.

Randy was probably asked to "play up" to the camera for the video shoot. My suspicion is that in testing mode he is "all business". I have found his snippets to be educational and not unctuous in the least.
