No oil use @ 11k?!

Is my car a Unicorn? Despite being taught a lesson every time I drive it, my f80 insists oil is ok at 11k. Is this everyone's experience? Two other BMs have told me lies with the oil levels (they are made in USA tho....)

Considering a lot of us need to add oil before 10K I'd say you're either babying the crap out of your car or something is wrong. I personally wouldn't wait until the car tells me to take into service. 10K is 10K. I'm actually going to start doing oil changes at 5K intervals myself.

Seriously though....if you're doing the type of driving that is indicative of the maintenance items you claims-- and haven't changed the oil ALREADY....something is wrong with you

Really?! You're on this board and post that?! Want a serious reply, or are you in the boat with troll thebatman? My car (as does every M) has a run-in oil change at 2K. I supplied Mobil 1 0-40 for the service, not the Factory Castrol. My car has had oil samples sent to a lab twice already. Nothing indicating any concern has come back from the lab.
