Couple of questions...

So my new SMB M3 has arrived in Melbourne and all being well I should collect in the next few weeks.

In the meantime, maybe you guys can give me some advice on the following...

1. Who do you guys use for shortfall/"gap" insurance? In the UK we used a company who had a deal through Pistonheads, but haven't seen anything similar here. Or are the insurers here pretty good on values if the worst happens?

2. Registration plate size... I'm considering getting myself a private plate but not sure what size to get for the plate. Do I go slimline on the front and regular on the rear.... or slimline all round? Any got pictures of slimline plate on the rear of an M3? Does it look too small?

Thanks all! Will get some pics up when I eventually take delivery.

With insurance make sure you get a few quotes and reference the excess amounts. If you want a bit of track cover, Famous is the only company currently offering this.

For plates, get black and white slim line front and back. I think this looks best.

For plates, get Vic heritage - less numbers the better. Three digits should only cost you $50k and up...
