just cancelled my order after SA told me 1 week prior to pick up, 5K down is not true, need to include additional 3k for other drive off fee.

Didn't you get a breakdown of the deal in writing? I see that you are in the bay area, which crappy dealer was this?

Only a screen shot from dealer's software. BMWSF.

Below is the email from SA confirming the numbers before place the order. 3 month later SA tells me need 3k additional drive off fee which I should know down payment doesn't include other drive off fees. I was pissed and canceled order right away.

$718+tax based on your build and terms

10K per year
5k down
36mo lease

This is all about math, if you received the buy rate on the MF (no mark-up), plus the discounts/incentives, then how does the dealer justify an extra $3K? unless he backdown on the negotiated price? or added other fees?

Is this your first time leasing?

Why dealers do this is beyond me. They probably think that once the customers sees the car or they are close to delivery, they will pay anything . Perhaps some customers might fall for this dirty old trick, but for me, if I don't get the deal I was promised in writing, I am out, simple as that.

Many people do end up paying... There was a thread recently where a guy paid like 8k more.

Woohoo.. car is finally in town. Going to my favorite tint shop for tint and PPF. Since the dealer uses them all the time it'll all be done without me driving up there and getting rides back and forth. Unfortunately that means I don't get to drive it until the end of the week, but that gives me some time to work on the E90.

What dealership? Mine doesn’t get delivered until Friday and I’m not picking it up until 3/31 because I’m going to be out of town.

Austin, TX Somehow it took a week for the car to make the 4-hour trip from Galveston. I wonder if it shared a truck with deliveries in other cities...

Going to pick my wife’s car up on Sat morning. I am having them leave all the plastic coverings on it an put track tape on the front end for the drive home, it will not look pretty, lol

As I thought, they had swapped the front bumper at the VPC with a factory-painted new one since it got scratched somewhere along the way.
Nevertheless, glad to finally drive it!
It's going to take a little time to get used to the HUD and other small changes in the display screens and controls. Sadly my first drive was stuck in traffic all the way from the dealer to my office. I'll have to find some clear hill country road this weekend...

DCT is kinda weird... and I'm gonna have to get a coding cable and software so I can get "enhanced bluetooth" to give me my text messages. (I think)

Congrats My5UV on your new M3. I still have mine in the shop getting Full PPF, CQuartz Finest Reserve, and full Window tints. Going on two weeks so far. I'm dying to drive mine, only put like about 10 miles since I got her 2-1/2 weeks ago.
