Agreed.

BMW went with 40 sidewalls all around thus why the 18" wheels look small on the M3/M4.

For the price of F10 M5 in states, I can only afford to buy the F20 M135i in Taiwan. This tells you how heavy the tax is here. The cost to own a BMW in Singapore is even higher at approximately twice the cost of the tax in Taiwan.

I ordered the standard 18" rims because they are less susceptible to pot holes up here in the northeast. Didn't realize they are also lighter than the 19's but that's a nice surprise! I like the look of the 19's better but IMO, when it comes to machines, form should always follow function.

Actually, the staffs at the event had the spec sheet of the car including the wheel specs. But I forgot to snap a picture of that data sheet. I will try to find out the actual weight of the OEM 18s through my SA in a few days.

Southlight posted this in the ETK thread, but I'll add it here for future reference

Does anyone happen to know if the M3 has hit the showrooms in Taiwan yet and at which dealer? Just seen that the 4 series gran coupe is exhibited at at Breeze center but no M3.

The YMB M3 at the event is up for sale at one of my local dealerships in Taipei. They are currently offering a marginal discount of $1,000 USD off MSRP for those who were invited to the launch party.

Just to be clear on this, and maybe Southlight will need to chime in, but these are weights of the wheels only, correct? That is, it does not include the weight of the tires?

Cheers.

Cheers.

The weight specs are wheels only, weight of the tires are measured separately.

Actually there are some Thai girls in Taiwan, but they're mostly foreign maids employed in Taiwan.

The dancers however are 100% Taiwanese.
