Probably the most masculine kind of watch.
I Remember my first Dive watch, the worst one ever. A G-Shock. The original G-Shock. Very thick and masculine looking. But when you actually dived, you couldn't see it in semi murky water. Completely useless in Canyon Lake, just outside of San Antonio.

Anyway, in spite of all that I could see myself switch to a Lange 1 with moon phase at some point. Lange does a better job than anyone at beautifying the movements. The only "downsides" are; a) Hitlers watch. You probably know that this fact brought down the company for several decades. More just an interesting historical footnote. b) more importantly, historically they have not had the same resale as Patek. They are both STUPID expensive but with a Patek you can genuinely consider it an investment. A Lange have not historically held value as much but this seems to be changing.

Of course, if you buy second hand, this says... go for the A Lange you will get better value.

Anyway I love both. Here's my fav;

That's only part of it. What's even nuttier is what happens if the properly registered owner dies. When that happens, if the executor of the estate requests they will do a full service of the watch, and then - that is the one and only time that a replacement box will be granted (if it is needed). The refurbished watch in its box is then presented to the next generation owner. It's all consistent with their "you buy this watch for many many generations of use" theme.

As I’ve stated previously, we’ve never gone through 3 Presidential Terms without a recession.

We are on the 3rd now.

That would certainly make it prior to January 2021. As the article stated, it could make 2020 interesting.

I'm more worried than usually. I haven't found an "engine" for the next rise. Finland especially is still on infrastructure mode which means we haven't hit the real growth yet which follows a decline.

USA is neck deep in debt so there isn't a way you can just grow a deficit and restart the economy. Fuck, china is not in an as good of a shape as they say.

Energy efficiency is going to be the next real game changer as an industry but if we don't have a way to spend the energy, what the fuck will that do for us.

As you can see, I'm in open the wrists and bleed out mode already. This one will be big.

Well. Off I sent the kids. Three hours later they came back home.

Mil just called.

She is worried that my sil is having a melt down of some sort.

She asked me if I could talk to her.

I told my mother-in-law that I'll be happy to help her to get her committed to a hospital far, far away from me but I won't ever again be in the same space as her. She said I'm clearly starting to get over the traumas of her two month visit since I didn't tell her to go fuck herself.

Even our kids cuss when they talk about her. They don't use words like shit but a poop and a bleep and an occasional morron but it's been three years since her visit to wa so if she doesn't die in the next sixty, I might get over her enough to attend to her funeral.

In Finland almost everyone studies religions in school from the first grade up, so by fifth grade they have the basics of all major religions down. I've always loved that subject and when ever we go to a new city, I try to show them the churches since they tell a lot about the history. This goes against my core belief of respecting all spiritual views but I really want to tell them that my sil is nuts, and they're correct. I just don't think they're old enough to realize that her being nuts has nothing to do with her YouTube religion (we settled to that term) but she is just nuts.

I hate her so much. I really. Really. REALLY HATE HER!

It took about 15 minutes for the guilt to set in, again. I hate her so much (a pizza with her name written in the box, in my fridge?!!? Yes, I know I'm petty but SHE FUCKING LIVED WITH US FOR TWO MONTHS AND I DIDNT TRY TO POISON HER!!!) I don't feel awful for being this horrible even when I seriously question her mental health.

And don't get me going about the snacks, and her face in my house, her killing the rims in the Audi in twenty fucking meters, her talking or the way she ate.
