Top Gear Reveals F80/F82 UK Pricing, smokey burnout feature & illuminated M seat logo
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com 2015 F80 M3: Starting at £56,175 2015 F82 M4: Starting at £56,653 http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/b...led-2013-12-11 Also some details on a "smokey burnout" feature? Bit of a lame name, but interestingly beating Ford to the punch with their rumored "burnout" feature. Also an illuminated M logo on backrests. Gotta say, that is a MUCH better price that I had been hearing rumored. Quote:

I was just about to post this! Did you guys also see that it says it has an " illuminated ‘M' logo on the backrests"?
Oh.. And did I read 32MPG? That has to be European numbers?

Wondering if the "Smokey burnout function" is akin to what Porsche did on the GT3, where pulling both paddles disengages both clutches...

wouldn't it lock the differential? on the GT3 its used to induce oversteer ie drift mode.

It is just that when the 991 GT3 was introduced, they talked about this feature when pulling both paddles, both clutches would dissengage without changing gears. When the paddles are released, it would dump the clutch in the given gear regardless of RPM. I found this feature pretty neat giving you even more control over the transmission. Wishful thinking on my part |

One of the features that hasent been talked about much that I am excited about is how the engine increases boost to compensate for high altitude. Having an S65 is great and the sound is heaven but the power loss sucks balls here in Denver at a mile high.

i was hoping to have power around 500hp.
The A45AMG has ~170hp per litre, why cant BMW do the same thing. or put 3 turbos like they did in M diesel.

Well you get 400lb-ft which is more than what have been announced (369).
Can anyone confirm what was the price in the UK for the old M3 coupe ? 6k increase seems quite a lot |
