Agree But I thought the Detroit cars had a shadowline trim. I didn't like the Philly cars matte trim at all!!!!!

Lol! That is the only problem with black but it does look so damn good when it's clean and waxed.

And after those 10 minutes, the bird shits on the car and you can't wipe it off because it will scratch the paint!!! LOL

I was there too. Walked away totally impressed with the m3 and unimpressed with the m4. Hadn't considered either for a next car but would definitely consider the m3 after seeing it in person. It just looks the part much better to my eye.

Full Leather looks well done. We could be in for some stunning "individual" Full Leather interiors.

I'm ready to see my first Rust Brown Full Leather pic... who is going to order it!?

Will they be offering the pass-through as an option? Maybe with the cold weather package? It's a must have for long items like skis.

There is no cold weather package listed on option/build materials provided this far for the F8x. Somebody with an F30 can correct me, but I believe there is no pass through even when optioned with the cold weather package.

Im assuming the Gunmetal portion is very reflective? Did the wheel have potential to look all black from some angles? or is there a lot of contrast between the gunmetal and the black inner wheel?

thansk,

I feel like these wheels are going to look just perfect with a couple days of break dust on them.

The F3x do have a pass-through, or at least a 40/20/40 split. See this thread:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=926342

The F8x has only been seen with 60/40 split so far, and I have not seen another configuration listed as an option in any other region so far.

The only downside I can see for both F80/F82 is that they didn't change the center console material from the regular F30, it's still the same hard plastic where your knee/leg hits the side of it, whereas all previous 3-series I've had soft-touch materials in the same area.

For the F82, sorta a bummer that they got rid of the "extended" rear console from the E92/E93 where the front and rear center console, although two pieces, extend to where it appears one piece, similar to what Porsche or Aston Martin does with their executive 2+2 GT cars.

Regardless, either F80 or F82 will be my next car, I love that carbon black / silverstone combo, the contrasting stitching on the dash is gorgeous, it's about time a 60K BMW features this when a 25k Ford Fusion as had this for years. Unfortunately, Sunny FL doesn't mix well with black, so silver/silverstone or white/silverstone will do, unless that tan interior has a hint of orange/camel to it.

There is no way I would get any other trim than carbon fibre

I spent some time there at the show today (and may have run into some other folks there). Seeing the M3 and M4 in person was definitely something that I was looking forward to this week.

I was glad that there were comparisons: CF roof vs. moonroof, full vs. extended leather, black vs. silverstone leather.

Both cars had carbon fiber trim, many options were not represented (and you cold only see two colors), but dimensions could be seen. I gathered as much of a feel for the car as I could without a test drive. Nothing that I saw would stop me from continuing my order.

It was actually amazing how many people in the crowd overlooked the M3 and M4. To me, this is a good thing. I like to go unrecognized. I am not looking to draw attention to myself with the car. This is not a chromed-up muscle car.

I enjoyed my time speaking with other enthusiasts. I also enjoyed my time looking at the other cars there. I can appreciate interesting designs and engineering, even if I don't intend to spend my money there.

There is a lot of contrast. The wheel has never looked all black to me from any angle whether its in pictures or in person. It does look really good though in person and much better than picture.

I did not but Realstig did a really nice extensive writeup where he was able to connect his Ipod and listen for a bit. I would see his thread regarding the system but keep in mind it was only a brief experience.
