Congrats! Glad you love it. I remain so happy with mine after almost two years. Enjoy, and try to get up to COTA for the BMW Driving Experience if it comes again next year. Loved it!

I took delivery of my 2018 M3 ZCP in October. My previous car was also a stage 1 Audi S3, and there is simply no comparison between the two. The M3 is pretty much everything i wanted in a car! I was able to drive a coworkers RS3 a few months ago and i wasn't impressed at all....

R8 is the only Audi I'd take over a BMW. It's just in a different league.
BMW really has no supercars to compete with it either. Test drove an RS3 today. It was a nice car but felt nothing like my F80. Well, at least I'm not losing traction in the RS3 (I start losing it in 2nd in my F80 lol). I will say though the seats and interior in the Audi is always nice. |

However the m3 feels more alive, love how much easier to kick the rear end out in the middle of a corner than the s5. It has a lot more technology. The iDrive is much better than the old MMI system in the S5. Led headlights are much brighter than the Xenons in the S5 too (although I miss the sharp projector cut-off line). Exhaust sounds meaner than the S5 IMO, especially with the ZCP overrrun. The steering wheel has a little more feedback from the road. The braking ventilation is much better designed than the S5 even though I got brembo BBK on the S5 (noticed this every time I washed my car right after I got home from work while spraying water on the discs). However the M3 feels a little slower than the modified S5 for now, but that’s definitely going to be changed when I get a tune. No regrets except I do miss that instant supercharged torque in my S5, the cabin is quite a lot noisier in the M3 coasting at hwy speed, and, that intoxicating supercharger whine... The blue S5 was mine: And now... Last edited by yjypm; 01-24-2018 at 06:03 AM.. |

I had a new s6 for few months.. respected it and it did everything and more but thats the problem.. never did it provoke any emotions apart from the lovely over run from tt v8.

I'm still in the break in period on the M3.. But she feels alot more raw, connected and fun. "cause racecar" hahaha. Even tho the M is slower in stock form vs a fully modded S. The M in stock form is definitely more fun and stiffer than my S4 on pss10 set on 8 & louder than my milltek non res. Luv this car... Had to make the jump with it being the last yr for the F80 M3 & rumors of no more manual.... No regrets... "save the manuals" |
