Service Advisor Recommendations?

Does anybody have any recommendations for service advisors, specifically for BMW of Silver Spring?

Though I don't have any currently, I'd like to work with somebody who is mod-friendly, or at least is knowledgeable about the brand, and is an enthusiast.

Thanks in advance!

Go see Rachel. She is great to work with and has been there a long time so she knows what will fly and what won't.

She has hooked me up when i was outside of my tire warranty a couple times.

In Annapolis, use Tommy Tate as an SA....and make sure you get the young mechanic named Steve (tell Tommy you only want Steve to work on your car, per Kevin Young with the blue M4). Steve is thorough, mod-friendly, and is a total M enthusiast. He's the only BMW mechanic I trust at a dealership right now....but my experience is limited.

I've had the pleasure of working with the team at Silver Spring. You want Rachel as your service adviser.

Rachel is working some magic getting the recall diff part for me without even having the car at the dealership.

Annapolis didn't even want to make the call for the part unless I turned in my M to them...that I bought from them 4 months smh. And this was after weeks of me telling THEM (god forbid an educated customer) that there was a diff recall and my CA telling me it's not a big deal (I have the text messages). Annapolis really killed the SA/CA relationship there. Not even going to start on the conversion with the SA. Let's just say I got tired of their condescending attitudes.

I left and drove right over to Silver Spring and walked right in and talked to Rachel. She didn't know of a recall either but the difference here was what she did - researched, got educated on it, and within 5 minutes the part was on order.

I will be doing ALL my future business with Rachel and BMW Silver Spring.

Yup Rachel called me 30 minutes ago and told me that my parts for the diff recall would be in next week and as soon as they showed up she would schedule me in right away. I have had my car for about a month now and she has called me 3 times to check on things.

Yeah same here. She's good. If you don't mind me asking, did you get any compensation from BMWNA with this diff crap? Rachel said to give them a call.

I did yes but mainly because my car was delayed a long time in Germany. Shoot me a PM and I can tell you the info.

Thomas Grant. I found him recommended in another thread. Definitely worth it. He and the tech he recommended, Cesar, went above and beyond for me yesterday. Also used Thomas for my break in service over the Summer.

Any recommendations for service advisors and technicians at Sterling BMW? I'm about to do my M3 first service/inspection. Any info will be appreciated. Happy motoring!

Who was your SA at Annapolis? Let me know so I know who to avoid.

Just wondering, but what magic is needed for the diff issue? I was affected by the diff issue, but fortunately got the car before the delivery stop. For the recall, both Catonsville (where I bought the car), and Sterling (the closest to me) were willing to order the parts right away. I went with Sterling since they are closer. The parts were ordered in August (I think) got them in early December, and had my diff replaced right away. I had my car the whole time (except for the 2 day replacement time). I was the first diff replacement at Sterling (don't know if that is good or bad )

I have dealt with several people.at Sterling, some have been better than others, but all were very helpful, and if they didn't know the answer, they found someone who did.

My CA was Ben. Nice guy but talks your ear off. I forget the SA name young guy. Never turned my keys in just walked out.

The magic of picking up the phone and ordering the diff from her parts guy. Where as Annapolis wanted me to turn my car in before they place the diff order. Nght and day difference between the dealerships.

Annapolis service sucks. I got refunded a diagnostic fee after contacting BMWNA about their lack of ability to explain what test plan they followed after I discovered a disconnected hose from a diverter valve on my previous 335i.
