Don't like the exhaust sound , but that is easily fixed with an aftermarket exhaust. I'm sure there will be plenty of choices within a few weeks of customers taking deliveries.

I wouldn't pass on the F80 over the sound but it is entirely disappointing based on every video I've heard. Since cell phone audio recording is generally crap, I'll reserve final judgment until I hear it in person.

Yes, the first video is as close as it gets to true color and maybe the last photo of the rear quarter.

I think the M3 will look more menacing in AW, BSM, MGM, and SO.

haha... I seriously love this car and likely will own one in the next 2 years but I'll be the first to admit that I think that sounds horrendous.... I worked for a lawn maintenance company in high school and we had this burly weed whacker that sounded identical to this car.

That RASP tho! Eww. Good looking car overall, however the sound is atrocious. Why didn't they just bring back the first gen. E46 and call it a day. Same shitty sounding RASP X pipe, still less overall weight and they would have saved a fortune on R&D. Yet, on the second gen. E46's the RASP was "mysteriously" gone and sounded like a proper exhaust. C'mon BMW - get your shit together.

The E46 M3 rasp haters will start to surface in the future.

Have you heard the titanium exhaust from the M4 MotoGP safety car?

Gives you a good idea what aftermarket exhaust will sound like.

That sounds nothing like an E46 M3.

Closer to a Honda with a fart can on it than an E46 M3.

Sounds very much like a E46 M3, and nothing like a Honda!

Love how much more hard and metallic this thing sounds compared to the soft and mellow stock E9x M3 exhaust

This YMB f80 seems to be all over SoCal.. I'm guessing some Western Region Rep is making his rounds with dealers and private events.

I like, and respect, that it has a distinct sound.

I never went into this expecting or even wanting it to sound like an S65. I can say that while it doesn't sound as unique as the S65 did from other V8 engines, it does sound good for what it is... a Turbo Inline 6. It has its own character which I really appreciate.

Many of the other turbocharged 6 cylinder engines sound quiet, terrible, or like a vacuum cleaner. For example, the 911TT and GTR... This sounds better than those in my opinion.

How would you say it compares to a 335iS exhaust note? (if you are familiar with it)

+1 Idk why people hate rasp so much , way to much rasp like ebay e46 m3 muffler yeah maybe, but s54 rasp was my favorite I6 sound. I think the f80 will sound perfect once production or with a decent exhaust system
