F80 M3 Recall?

Anyone else get notification of a recall lately? Apparently for the "Sim card"
I did some digging and saw some people post in 2022 and 23 about the same thing.

Most people said it messed up their Bimmercode and made their CarPlay small again instead of full screen. My car is stock and I've never changed any codes. Is this "recall" a detrimental thing? I searched my VIN on the gov website and there are no current recalls.

Someone please help! I have an appointment in the morning but don't want to bother if it's going to do nothing for me.

If you don't have an active bmw online subscription (remote locking, bmw concierge, etc) I would not get the recall done, especially if you have beamercode/bootmod, and you like your current operation of apple carplay.

It wasn’t a recall. Recalls are for safety related items.

This was just a technical bulletin that provided some owners a 3G to 4G update because 3G went away. Required a new telecom unit and a software update.

I had it done on my F30 and it erased everything I had coded in. I'm definitely not doing it on my F80
