Best "all-in-one" interior cleaner?
hey guys,
looking for a one bottle solution for cleaning the interior. i know for a great thorough deep cleaning i should be using different products for the different surfaces, but for regular cleaning is there a one bottle solution? I have extended leather. Looking to clean all leather seats, plastics on the dashboard, vinyl dashboard cover, the back of the front seats (kids footprints), steering wheel, etc. a nice, non-coconut smell would be great too. For reference, i think Optimum No-Rinse Wash and Wax (green one) soap smells amazing. i did some searching on this forum and seems these are recommended: Nanolex Interior Cleaner Adam's Interior Detailer Kenotek Interior Cleaner just looking for some comments on anyone who has actually used an interior cleaner for all surfaces in the car. thanks! |

Nanolex and Kenotek are very good products. The brand I use is 1z einszett which became nexzett http://www.1z-usa.com/products/cockp...m-16-9-oz.html
I do use it all over, but not on my leather seats, the times that I did, I spray the product on a MF and then wipe seats clean. Cockpit premium has a very light scent of citrus that disappears very quickly, is matte, and cleans nicely all plastics, trims and especially on iDrive screen and HUD. |

I use separate leather and plastic cleaners. Lately I've been really liking Sonax products. The plastic cleaner flashes dry needing virtually no buffing. The leather foam comes in aerosol form so it doesn't clog the perforations and also doesn't need much buffing.

I've used many of the products mentioned already. Actually did a heads up comparison of the Adams and 1z product. To be honest, the results were the same. The only big difference was in the smell...which one was more pleasing. It was a coin flip IMHO. I would buy the one on sale between the two. Side note, I recently bought the Mckees37 interior product. I don't see a difference in the results. They're all excellent.

The most versatile automotive cleaner on the planet is 'Meguairs All Purpose Cleaner' (D101) from their professional line of detailing supplies. Its beauty is in its flexibility because it is ONLY sold in concentrated form. You get to dilute it for your needs. At 9:1, it is extremely mild and will clean leather seats and interior plastic. At 4:1, it is strong enough to spot-clean stains from the carpet, seat belts, pillars etc. And then there are uses around the house as well.
It is <$20 for a gallon and will last a lifetime. I mix and give bottles of the stuff to friends. Being a cleaner only, you will need to use a conditioner afterwards on leather and dash. There are a million options for leather. For dash, my mainstay for over a decade has been '303 Aerospace Protectant'; it gives a classy, satin look.

I started using Meguiar's and so far it has been nice. I don't see any residue but I double wipe.
Although I am not sure if I should spray it on my microfiber or on the leather itself...

Arcades - spray it on the MF towel and wipe
meguiars interior detailer is a nice all around http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...P384/16-oz-S1/ Carpro inside is supposed to be nice, I haven't used it http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...Cleaner-P1105/ aerospace 303 has more protection in it compared to the other two mentioned http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...-P12/16-oz-S1/ 303 will leave a slight sheen to the interior with a slightly slicker feel, but its still non-greasy Those are the ones I have used and stuck with over the years, the Megs and 303 |

Personally I spray everything onto the cloth first, interior and exterior to avoid overspray.

I strongly recommend baby wipes. I don't like alot of their products, but for this: Honest Company baby wipes do an exceptional job of removing dirt, not hurting any surfaces, and leaving no residual product behind while also not drying out leather. You can throw a pack in your trunk in a plastic baggie and they'll be good for years. And excellent at cleaning up spills and shit.

I have lately been using Shine Supply Leather and Interior cleaner and it works great, leaves the area protected, but looking fresh like new. Smells great as well.
