Suspected VANOS Fault error code help!

First of all, I'm writing about my 2021 M2 Competition with the S55 engine here in the M3/M4 forum as it gets far more views/attention here.
So I was just cruising normally down the highway at normal speed when the alert comes up; drivetrain malfunction, drive moderately. I am able to drive still but with noticeably less power. I've got a JB4 installed and launch the app while still driving and notice it's got 0psi boost no matter what the RPMs are at. I go to the engine codes and it's reading these two:

13E201 Suspected VANOS fault
204081 Suspected VANOS fault

I tried clearing the codes. Error comes back right away. Finally make it back home and tried disconnecting/reconnecting the battery for 5 mins. Code clears but upon startup the error comes back immediately. When the engine is started, it takes longer than usual to turn over to fire up as shown in this video: https://photos.app.goo.gl/cErbRTmiqt14iqAG8
And when it does start, it starts to rev on it's own to 2k then settles (see video).

Now before I remove the JB4 and limp it to the dealer, does anyone know what the real problem can be? Is it really a problem with the VANOS or something else? I've done a quick search on these codes and I may have the dreaded spun crank hub. The the engine mods I've done are catless downpipes and JB4 set to Map 2. I set it to Map 0 as soon as the alert came on. Any insight would be appreciated thank you!

Most likely spun crank hub. Your symptoms and codes are identical as described in this thread: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1261773
