My seat has a thingy....

So there's this thing sticking out from my seat. I don't know what it does or how it popped out. I can ask the service dept to fix it, but I know they'll just tuck it in between the seat and the base so I can't see it. But I know its there... I'll always know its under my ass not connected to anything. What do you think? Should I ask for a new car and an i8 loaner while I wait for it?

Is that a button on the end? If it is I would make sure they fix it right or it may lead to some premature wear.

An assflap?

I can assist you with the loaners. I consider myself extra qualified by now.

<--- Does not want to know. Besides, Donger Kim's the only one ejecting. On a related note... today George Takei sucks. And well, he's told.

I've got nothing. I can't think about this more or my maturity level will show.

Stand aside kids, let the professional speak:

Wah, in this order you must:

(1) demand a new car

(2) i8 loaner in meantime

(3) file a class action lawsuit

(4) demand i8s for all members of the class

(5) file a claim for diminished value

(6) piss of this dealer and find a new one

(7) repeat steps above

(8) make up a new bimmerpost handle and post a new thread on here

(9) start from step 1 when you find a flaw in your replacement car / i8.

...and lather rinse repeat. Always repeat.

With that, you are good to go.

Aha, so the seats really are made of recycled lederhosen, I always thought that was a wife's tale.

I would ask them to fix the wrinkles in your leather? WTF? Your leather has wrinkles in it! Certainly that's a design flaw and covered under warranty?

lol, you people.

I have, no clue what the hell that is. Maybe it is there to remove the seat? Where did it come from anyway? When did it just... Appear...?

Having checked realoem for you, and it's close proximity to the airbag, it must be a manual airbag release!

I'd be more concerned with the uneven stitching on the seat back. When I had my M135i (if I just said 135i nobody would know that it's an "M") the stitching was perfect. It's obvious your car was manufactured on a Friday during Oktoberfest. Unload the piece of shit if you can. Oh, and never use the word "thingy" again until you change your name to Caitlyn.

Weird. Tuck it back under the seat and move on with your life. Unless you're the princess and the pea, you won't know. If you can't stop thinking about it, go see a neurosurgeon and ask them to isolate the neurons associated with that memory and burn them out.

I've had a really busy but interesting day. I learned a lot, things such as my 3 year old sneaks into the Audi to listen to Eminem. He fluently raps the lyrics in Finnish (I may have translated them to a nicer forms and so on for him), I've learned an erection doesn't make the cornering sounds different (thanks forum again!) and thanks to this thread my mildly twisted mind paints a picture of my dear friend wah trying to eject himself with a leather strap.

I ate myself into a food coma, and my wonderful mind strapped all these into a wonderful wakeup.

"lady please you have issues you need therapy for" (" bitch please you must have a mental disease translated to fit a 3 year old) was on repeat while Mkoesel and wah were exchanging tips on driving vigorously.

Thank you all once again for making me doubt my fragile sanity. This forum truly is worth reading daily.

I'd be more concerned with the wear on the upper side bolster. The stitching looks frayed and the leather cracking.

How many miles do you have? :

This. I noticed the same thing. Your seats look super worn in general.
