Just curious, why didn't you do any ceramic coating or so on your own car?

to be honest I haven't been able to because we have been so slammed at the shop I'm lucky that I can even wash it once a month.

When the car is stored at the shop for the winter months I will start working on it.

I had my FI-R's for about a month before I even got them on.

Bump for Phil. Lots of choices in the tristate but DD is the best around. Detailed all of my VWs in the past and got my cars show ready.

When my F80 arrives I'll be reaching out again! -nick

AWE S-Flow for the BMW M3

I have been a long time supporter of AWE from my Audi VW days. Run their products on all my Audi and VW's and currently on my 01 Audi S4 - Click here for the restoration of it - Detailer's Domain's 2001 Audi S4 Project

Always great customer service and always first class products.

I bought this intake for looks first and performance later. Installation was easy and the quality of the intake is A grade. The carbon fiber weave matches the oem carbon fiber as well.

Here is the info on this intake from AWE.

An intake fitting of the F8X: Premium performance meets perfect Carbon Fiber. Presenting the AWE Tuning BMW F8x M3 S-FLO Carbon Intake:

Fully sealed carbon fiber box and filter combination
Featuring two AWE Tuning S-FLO Filters specifically designed the M3
Increased air filter surface area of 109% over stock
Peak gains of 12 hp and 10 ft-lbs of torque at the crank
Easy access design allows for filter inspection, removal, and replacement without removal of carbon cross member
Perfect integration with OEM inlet ducting
Retains stock mounting locations
Plug and play MAF and breather locations
Featuring bonded Aluminum fittings
UV stabilized resin and clear coat prevents yellowing from heat
Filters are durable, and washable
No Check Engine Light Guarantee
Perfect Fitment - Guaranteed
The Carbon Fiber Air Boxes

The AWE Tuning BMW F8x M3 S-FLO Carbon Intake is comprised of two fully enclosed carbon fiber air boxes that mount securely in the stock locations, engineered to match up perfectly with factory air inlet pipes. Together with the AWE Tuning S-FLO Filters, the intake unlocks peak gains of 12 hp and 10 ft-lbs of torque at the crank.

The S-FLO Filter

The AWE Tuning BMW F8x M3 S-FLO Carbon Intake includes two S-FLO Filters specifically designed for the F8X M3. These filters produce a more aggressive intake note, releasing a distinctive turbo spool sound. The included AWE Tuning S-FLO Filters use a proprietary design that is both durable and washable.

My first post, this thread is fantastic! I got a 2016 M3 on order and this made me want to change my interior to Sakhir Orange, just hope it's not too late. Really glad you posted all the products you used to treat and protect the leather.

update: custom extended rock guards.

if you haven't already noticed our M3's get a lot of rock chips on high impact areas like the front end and rockers, that's pretty obvious.

however there are a couple of other high impact areas we forget to protect
1. the inch or so on the bottom of the doors
2. above the oem clear guards/rock guards

BMW installs a rock guard but it falls short as I have noticed a ton of peppering on my rear wheel arch right above where the oem ends.

The fix was to extend the rock guard and protect it from more damage.
(all BMW M3's that come into the shop for clear film now receive this custom extended piece to help combat the rock chips)

Make sure to ask your installer to do this for you.

take a look
