No way I, or judging by the comments, many of us on this forum will pay 8% of a well equipped M3/4 to make it sound good. Get real.

Is Akro trying to grab the rip off crown from Dinan?

The Akra Evo doesn't appear to include downpipes. Is that correct?

I thought a lot of the power gains for turbo engines come from the downpipe and midpipe? If so, it would be pretty expensive for an all Akra system (Evo +Downpipes)~$8K all in.

Agreed. I'm sure most will find the gobs of torque a worthwhile trade for the downgraded sound though.

The M Performance exhaust remains the front runner for the F8X.

It appears there are six inlets on that muffler in the rear. Very interesting design - are there some electronic actuators controlling some internal valves and routing the exhaust gases in different ways? The build quality is top notch but the prices are getting quite expensive - even for Ti muffler.

Of course this is all relative - just look at the bespoke exhausts that come out of Japan for $10k for many cars. (of course many of those even includes headers soooo there's that).

Bloody expensive mod and almost no gains from slip-on.

Data from Akra www:

Slip-on:
+5,4 kW at 4400 rpm
+17,4 Nm at 2350 rpm

Evolution link pipe set:
+ 7,5 kW at 5200 rpm
+ 16 Nm at 2450 rpm

With prices like that you would think you were buying an exhaust system for a Ferarri. Lol only a rich fool would buy pipes at that price.
