Any reason why? Can they really not get the paint code mixed to the right color due to some availability issue? Or is it an issue of too many silverstone cars on the road already and could be a resale issue for lease returns?

Yep, it happened to me 2 weeks before I was going in to order mine in 2015, so I went with AY then (glad I did).....This time, I had planned to go with SS, go figure...BUT saw all of the posts of Atlantic Metallic so I went individual instead....would have been pissed if I had waited and stayed with my plans for SS.

Nah, SS2 is definitely not a flashy color. It takes a real driver to appreciate the color tone, and it hides underneath the radar too. Not to mention, opting for a sunroof definitely throws the attention away from my car as well!

Just inquired about this color with the dealer. Seems like a no go, unfortunately.

Definitely, one of those colors that ages gracefully.

I thought I read somewhere on this forum that the SSII was discontinued last month or so. This wasn't my first color choice, but after having the car now for 2+ years, I'm very happy with it and glad I didn't go with my first choice.

SSII is an amazing color...as my detailer puts it, "it hides all the sins" of car care.

Happy with azurite, but if I had to do it all over, I wouldn't mind SSII. Plus I like the contrast with all the CF bits.
