BMW marketing/publications are notorious for mistakes.

M4 GTS was 7.88 seconds slower than 991 RS ( factory vs factory)
M4 GTS was 2.88 seconds slower than 991 GT3 ( factory vs factory)

Sport auto test GTS vs RS 991 well then M4 GTS was 9 sec slower.
Sport auto test GTS vs 991 GT3 well then M4 GTS was 2 sec slower

Nurburgring laptimes.

But this OP of mine was just to cover BMW marketing got their own laptime wrong, kind of funny...

Porsche GT cars aren't for enthusiasts anyway! Who cares what they do on the Ring?

Still we drive GT PORSCHE as well but they are more mainstream and you see alot of them on track(boring)

Well Porsche factory did have 5 seconds difference In Nurburgring laptime, (991 RS 7.20min vs 991 GT3 7.25min)

So I guess It will be somthing simular on 991 gen 2 RS over 991 gen 2 GT3. That GT3 did 7.12+ so we can guess they stick RS 5 sec faster or something like that. These things might even be set long before, considering GT2/RS in to this the gen 2 RS will not be to fast..
I guess Its all taken in to the mix when developing cars..

I guess its plenty or little difference depending on who we ask. Its a fair amount of seconds the RS is faster as its also some dollar more I guess.
Then again, out In the real world It could go whatever way as its more the driver who make the difference. Thats why many often go faster with the 130hp Suzuki Swift vs many other supercars on Nurburgring.

How about this thing. I don't choose my vehicles based on track times for a variety of reasons. But, if this is a straight up time with no shenanigans it is really impressive performance for a 70ish k car.

Well there is that.

At least they are (or seem to be) learning from their mistakes.
