A hair under 3,000 miles after 13 months with my car.... I live in Manhattan and I rarely drive. Not bad for a weekend car?

38K miles and have had the car since April 2015. Also no issues at all except a rock getting stuck in brakes one time. Replacing it with a 2018 in a few weeks and plan to keep that one for a very long time. Car has been absolutely rock solid - it's an amazing automobile.

No offense but sounds like a waste of 80k. Unless that 3k is all track use

Yeah definitely not the best financial move. I also pay a lot for parking and insurance. I really missed driving the last 10 years I've lived in the city though.

I'm just a pot calling the kettle black. I know exactly what you mean. I missed riding motorcycles when I was younger so I bout a 25k Ducati. Needless to say it has very low miles. Every morning I ponder. "Ride the Ducati or be comfortable in the M4"...M4 backs out of the garage...

Anyone had to have front control arm bushings or rear bushings replaced around 35k to 55k?? And how about brake pads or rotors?

Curious because bushings in my last couple BMWs always wore out the fastest.

Just put a Bm3 tune on it, love it.
So you put a tune on before completing "break in"?

For those of you north of 50k, how has the M held up in terms of maintenance and wear & tear?

I'm dating my first BMW (lease), and I'm interested in knowing if these cars are suitable for marriage (purchase).
