Dealer replacing just one turbo instead of both
Hi guys, I bought a 2017 M3 with 5500 Km (pretty new, traded my 2013 335i Estoril Blue) fortunately it is still under factory guarantee; in cold start the car sounds as if some metal part is lose, the sound dissapears after 30 sec aproximately (the car is still cold).... right now the car is in the dealer and thay will change one turbocharger (under guarantee), my concern is that why they donīt change both turbos?, turbos are in paralel, work together and the usage is exactly the same. Am I right?

I'd do some searching on the forums for the cold start sound issue. It may be a different situation entirely but I don't remember it being anything to do with the turbo's.

thank you !!! for the responses;
got my car back but the issue remained so now the dealer will have to change the whole exhaust system, the problem is there. The valves are not working well in cold start they told me.
