That being said, they should not have spun the reveal of this ostentatious SEMA show car as being akin to a factory "special edition" effort. They shamelessly piggybacked off of last year's "30 Jahre M3" which was a much more tasteful build (if still a bit too loud on the interior for my liking). It's just feels like "coat tails" approach and in the process, comes off as even more tacky than the tri-color leather interior. The nail in the coffin is the immediate announcement that this oh-so special car is up for grabs for a princely sum. I just don't see this as a positive piece of promotional work for BMW NA, and based on the reaction we are seeing, I don't think the public generally will either.

That said, I do think that they'll find more than one person who is interested in purchasing this car, so more power to them on that, I suppose.

It’s the rear seats that really kill it for me. The initial side bolster in red is just too much, should have been white or blue. The front seats, meh, I get it, at least it put together better. And I hate the translucent tape on the roof, weave or nothing.

Lol the muffler still has the previous M Performance logo with the generic font, instead of the new bold + italic + capital lettering that's been implemented for sime time already

I do like the shift knob and armrest btw.

So in other words, BMW tarted up a car for SEMA and you came away with a positive impression of the shift knob and the amrest ?!
