Question

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm in a similar predicament.

I have an Akrapovic Evo exhaust and want to upgrade the mid-pipes to either AA or Remus (non-resonated).

How much modification is needed to the mid-pipe to make it fit with the Akra exhaust?

Just 2 cuts, but need to be exact cuts. And making sure to use correct sized clamps

What you are describing was objective. To pair the AA EL with the Akrapovic - without cutting the Akrapovic exhaust - and it must be an out of the box solution. Mission was accomplished.

It requires a few cuts (3), spline cuts, and an expansion to create a slip fitting.

Full disclosure - while it works, I do want it to look a bit cleaner and will be having one side fabricated, thus removing that excess clamp that was used.

Here is a closeup of the solution and a discussion of another problem I encountered.

Hope this helps.
