replacing spark plugs

How hard is it to gap and replace to newer plugs? I typically do bolt on's on my own, but never tried doing plugs. For some reason it always found it intimidating..

It's not terrible.

Remove the CF strut bar and chargepipes. The remove the aluminum strut tower brace that sits over the back of the engine and under that is a plastic cover that covers cylinders 5/6. This gives you clear access to all cylinders with no obstructions.

awesome. I was looking through gapping tools and a lot of them seem to max out at .020

I did find one from OEM TOOLS that goes from 0.0015 - 0.025

0.18 seems to be a really small gap, is this right? just want to double check before i install it over the weekend.

Also what trim's should i be seeing? stable at 25?

Higher the boost, smaller the gap

Yes. 0.018. If you're using a JB4, a trim of "25" is no correction. Higher than 25 is adding fuel, lower than 25 is pulling fuel. Don't allow trims to go over 32 or so and you should be good.

Dope.

Will unplugging the negative terminal reset the JB4 as well? I've read a few of your post about adaptation and I've never heard of this term before. Would this be required after a spark plug install?

No, the JB4 won't be reset from the battery terminal being disconnected.

You don't need to reset adaptations, but it certainly wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if you're experiencing misfires on your current setup.

Just finished install. My back feels like it's going to break.. hahaha. It ended up being 3-4 hr job by myself

It was a pretty straight forward install, made sure I took my time. Definitely need more tools than what was listed on the DIY

I'll list some tips later that I wished I had.
