700hp m3 f80 competion on Pure turbos

Hi, few month ago i ordered a turbos from Pure (stage 2 high-flow)

Yesterday we installed the turbos + full akrapovic exhaust (without cat) + remap

remap by K8 strasse (without JB4 nad BM3 Shit - sorry for that, but this tool are useless)

On 1.7 bar only - now i have 690 hp (flywheel)

All stock, except sparks and injectors and maf sensor in intake manifold (has to be 3,5 bar, stock is 2,5 bar)

So coolers and intake - full stock No meth, normal fuel 98 (Europe, i suppose it's 91 in USA)

I have a video, but it on russian language, you can check the result from 19 minutes

If you need any info - ask.

The grip is good on stock ZCP tires and wheels, but the temperature here is +30 degree (Portugal)

The turbos are very GOOD, but don't use jb4 and bm3 tools for that, use right custom remap! Also we can go to 2.2 bar easy, but the goal was 650hp and i don't need more, car is for everyday use, not for a race

You're running aftermarket injectors?

And let me ask you, why is BM3 shit in your eyes? It's a 100% custom tunable flash, so if the tuner is a decent one, he should know what he's doing using BM3.

Also, MAF sensors don't read pressure, they measure airflow (hence why they're in the intakes) - did you mean an upgraded MAP sensor (this is likely what you meant)?

I loose traction just rolling on the throttle in 3rd gear on my straight E85 tune with stock turbos (and fuel system) as do several others guys running the same tune (some with very sticky tires) - sometimes it happens in 4th! Good to hear you aren't having these traction issue (if you want to call it an issue).

Pure makes some amazing turbos for this platform, I'm sure your car is a lot of fun!

Congrats!

Yeah, injectors from 335 up to 14 year (cuz euro 5)

Yeah, of course MAP, sorry

I was also surprised about the grip, think the reason - very hot day and asphalt, but anyway i will go to change PSS to r-compound tires.

BM3 - is not like shit shit, but there way much easier, better and cheap.

For example, we flashed the ECU without unlocking or opening. I am not a specialist, so the guy from Moscow Arthur from K8 strasse came to Portugal to setup this car.

Actually, they have m4 with 700WHP on his custom flash but with german turbos (forgot the brand name)

Sorry for my english, i can't explain all details. I just wanted to say that Pure Turbos are really good and you can take easy 700WHP on this kind setup.

You do know as long as you have the ECU encryption keys you can flash the ECU via OBD2 without unlocking it. The only problem is supposedly only BMW has the keys

I'm very aware with the proper keys the ECU can be flashed... But you're telling me that 4 years into the production run, with nothing ever being mentioned by a vendor, that an individual had his car flashed without unlocking the ECU.

I'm highly skeptical

Of course it's possible, BMW does it everyday. However, you need the encryption keys. I've not heard of one instance of somebody, other than BMW, actually having the keys.

I'm not saying it can't happen, just that it's highly unlikely.

I have full Akrapovic from the turbos back with pure stage 2 turbos and the car is incredibly loud with the valves open.

Yeah, but only when you push on high RPM.

We have deleted cold start and car is pretty quite on the cold start and when you drive normally (up to 3k rpm)

it would be interesting to run your car against a bm3 pure turbo car. The dyno hp is one thing , how it drives on the street is another.

i really dont care about dyno numbers as I have seen several times a car dynod less hp being faster than a car the pulled higher hp on a dyno..

by the way is MAP sensor change needed for BM3 map?

why would you need to change it anyway
it's a 3.5 bar sensor.
are you pushing over 31 psi that you needed to change it?
