Will/did you order the LED package?

I've been trying to figure out if I really want this option. The more I look at LED lights the more I want them.

I think I might have to pull the trigger on those bad boys.

I haven't seen a good side-by-side or review on them. $1,900 is a lot of money considering the xenon lights they would replace are already pretty awesome. to be honest, I'd rather put that money towards the full leather interior. I'll have to do a night time test drive though to be sure.

I'm trying to make the same decision. I'm leaning towards no. $2000 for lighting that don't perform significantly better than regular HID's is quite pricey.
They do look nice though.

They are the new look for BMW. I don't think is anything functionally wrong with the xenons. It's just aesthetics. The LEDs are hard to pass up.

Yea, that's the thing. I think it makes the car look just a little bit better/modern. FAK!

I'd pay for the full leather before I pay for LED's.

I put my order in today and I included the lighting package. I think the LED angel eyes look cooler. Functionally it should be the same as xenon lights though. Does the new 4 Series have LED lights? May have to look into that...

No to LED.
Instead, I may spend that money to go with full leather.

How did you put in order without knowing final options and package list?
Are you purchasing dealer launch car?

I have LED's on my car and had them on my previous GC...If I ordered myself or was stand alone option I'd say no way. They look better but thats it IMO

My dealer has already order their 2 launch cars. I am in line to buy their second M3 after their launch cars. They have been able to enter options for the new M3 and M4 since December. They put in a skeleton configuration for me in December and today I went in to complete the option list.

In their computer the option list is pretty complete and is a superset of the option list that Jason posted here. I can still change the list up until before it goes into production. pricing is not available yet so there is no MSRP price.

I think the xenons look better. The LED lamps look like standard halogen reflectors in the daylight. Since there won't be much of a difference in function and personally I think they take away from the aggressive look, no way they're worth $1900.

Found this thread on the F30 forum on LED headlights: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=934594

There are some pictures in that thread for reference.

I think someone told me that the US spec of LED lights doesn't include the full functionality of the package as it is sold in Europe, where they steer around oncoming traffic, does seem expensive if its true.

I ordered my M4 launch car with them. What the heck might as well try it out.

I was at the Montreal auto show yesterday. I was also set on the xenon lights and thought that $2000 CAD was futile for the LED headlights. Until I saw them in real life that is. They make the car look much better from the front. It looks much more aggressive. Further, they contribute to a little weight saving (just another way I try justifying the $2000 to myself ).
